How We Work
Fine-art paper & our print process—see the details.
PrintMeArt is a family-run studio in Den Bosch. We make prints that are meant to look great in real homes: sharp up close, clean in the highlights, and rich in the shadows—without the "cheap poster" feel. This page explains what happens between your click and the moment it lands on your wall.
The short version
You choose the artwork (ours or yours), customize it (paper, size, frame), preview the result, and place the order. From there, we focus on getting the final print to look intentional: balanced framing, clean edges, and a consistent finish. If something doesn't meet our standard, it doesn't go out.
Step by step
Pick your artwork
You can shop from our curated collection, or bring your own image. If it's your own file, the goal is simple: make it look like it belongs on a wall, not just on a screen.
Customize and preview
Choose your paper type, select the size, and add a frame if you want a ready-to-hang result. The preview is there so you can see the overall look before you commit—especially important for cropping and borders.
Professional finishing
We don't just "hit print." We make sure the final result looks clean and premium: sensible cropping, neat alignment, and a finished presentation that works with your chosen frame and size.
Print and quality check
Your print is produced with a fine-art giclée process for detail and smooth tone transitions. After printing, we check for the things you'd notice immediately: clean edges, consistent tones, and a tidy final result.

Which paper should I choose?
Think about your artwork and what matters most to you.
Still not sure? Go with Photo Rag—it works beautifully for almost anything. All our premium papers are museum-quality, fade-resistant for 100+ years, and printed with the same 12-color giclée process.
Framing
Framing is optional, but it's the fastest way to make a print feel "done." It also adds everyday protection during handling and display. If you're not sure which frame works best, think in simple terms:
Caring for your print
For the best longevity, avoid constant direct sunlight and keep prints away from high humidity spots. If you frame it, display behind glazing for extra protection and easier cleaning. Treat it like a good jacket: it'll last longer if you don't leave it in the rain.
FAQ
Is this a poster?
Not in the "thin paper, quick print" sense. Our focus is fine-art printing and a finished look, whether you buy from our collection or upload your own image.
Can I print my own photo or artwork?
Yes. Upload your file, customize the size/paper/frame, preview it, and order. If you want it to feel truly premium, pick a size that matches your image well instead of forcing extreme cropping.
Matte or semi-gloss for photography?
Both work. Matte is softer and more "gallery," semi-gloss usually makes colors and contrast feel more lively. Your room lighting is the deciding factor.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are delivered within 5 days. We always use tracked shipping so you know when to expect it.
